I am sure you have noticed something – that at the index Nifty level – In the last 13 years, we have had just one negative year!
And that is a remarkable level of wealth creation in the last decade or so. The past performance may not be repeated, but this is something that I wanted to highlight.
From Nifty 8282.7 on 31-Dec-2014, we have come up to 23,644.8 on 31-Dec-2024. That’s a CAGR of 11.06% in the last 10 years. And if we rewind back 20 years to 31-Dec-2004, then Nifty was at 2080.5 and we have had a CAGR of almost 12.92% in the last 20 years!
Not bad at all. Isn’t it?
