Here is the exact process to check the registration status of Real Estate Project of any state or verify the RERA Number:

  1. Use the list provided above to go to the website of the state RERA in which you want to look for RERA approved projects.
  2. The find and click on the link with words (or similar to) “Approved Projects” or “RERA Approved Projects”
  3. Once you click, you will probably find a few tabs namely – i) Applications under Process, ii) Applications under Query, iii) Applications Approved, and iv) Applications Rejected.
  4. Now first you need to see if the project you are searching for is approved or not. For that, go to the tab “Applications Approved”. Search for the project here and if the project is RERA approved, you will find the project details along with the RERA certificate. Generally, the RERA certification will have a validity details as well.
  5. You may have to create a login before it allows you to download the approved project details.
  6. Once you have downloaded the project details, you can compare it with the details that you builder has provided. If there are any deviations or discrepancies, then you can check back with the builder for the reason. If the builder doesn’t reply satisfactorily, you can then choose to raise an issue against the builder with RERA.
